Explore the beaches of Skiathos!

Skiathos is internationally famous for its pretty beaches with the emerald waters. Each of them has its own grace and beauty. Visit Megali Ammos, Achladies and Vasilias roughly at the center of the island and very close to the town of Skiathos. A little to the southwest are the beaches of Vromolimnos, Agia Paraskevi, Troulos and the world-famous Koukounaries, which has been included among the best Mediterranean beaches several times. The northwest part of the island is different as it becomes a little wilder. Here you can find the charming beaches of Kryfi Ammos, Mandraki, Elia, Megalos Aselinos and Mikros Aselinos. A little to the north, the famous Lalaria beach, one of the prettiest in Greece. The huge stone with the arch underneath, the emerald waters and the round pebbles are its great attractions. The only way to get there is by sea, starting in the morning by boat from the port or you can even hire a vessel. On the northernmost tip of the island, below the old medieval town of Skiathos, lies a really amazing beach called Kastro meaning castle. The castle used to serve as a refuge of the people of Skiathos for approximately five centuries. Finally, the islets of Tsoungria and Arkos are worth visiting. Just get on one of the little boats leaving the port of Skiathos every day.
